On February 22, 2019, the student organization "Student – Donor" held a lecture on "Rh- factor, Rhesus- Incompatibility" at the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Science named after Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan TK Raisov.
Most people have little idea what the Rh factor is, because in ordinary life its presence or absence does not entail any painful consequences. The objective of this lecture was to familiarize 1st and 2nd year-students with the general concepts of the topic and the consequences that can occur.
The supervisors of the student organization "Student-Donor", Head of Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics, associate professor Orazalina Ainash Saparovna and teacher of the Department Elkenova Botakoz Zeynollaevna took part in this event.
At the beginning of the event, the supervisors greeted the students, then a 2-nd year student of “General Medicine” faculty Seytkali Aruzhan gave an overview of the topic, and also briefed the concepts and process of Rh-incompatibility. Then the students participated in several games and various quizzes to remembering the lecture.
In general, the event was very interesting and informative. Students have increased their knowledge in medicine and molecular biology.
