The problem of corruption has become widespread today and has affected all areas of public life. Moreover, the essence of corruption is not so much in the bribery or venality of persons from the public sector, but in the decomposition and decay of a particular social system, including the state power system. The teachers of the Department of General education disciplines on September 2, 2019 held a round table on the topic “University without corruption.” The report was made by the senior teacher of the Department of General education disciplines T.A. Muzdybaeva. She informed about the main sections and the tasks of the anti-corruption standard, as well as the rules of conduct for university employees. The teachers have considered key aspects of the fight against corruption in the Republic of Kazakhstan, preventive measures to combat corruption. During the discussion also were raised the issues of the formation of an anti-corruption culture among the students and teachers of the university.
The anti-corruption standard of Semey Medical University includes the following regulatory legal acts:
- Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 2, 1998 No. 267-I “On Combating Corruption”;
- Anti-corruption strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025;
- Anti-corruption program of the NUR OTAN party for 2015-2025;
- Anti-corruption program for the period from 2015 to 2025.
- Academic honesty policy of Semey Medical University
All the teachers supported the anti-corruption standard of our university and moreover, agreed to build a culture of legal solidarity and intolerance in the student community as part of this policy.
