In connection with large-scale integration into the global educational space, today one of the most important tasks is to eradicate the problem of corruption. The challenge facing modern society is the upbringing of the right spiritual values in the young generation, zero tolerance for any manifestations of dishonesty and delinquency.
To this end, on September 12, 2019, a meeting of the Chairman of the Board – Rector Yersin Zhunussov with 5th year students of the specialty “General Medicine” was held in the university’s auditorium. The basic ethical principles and norms of academic honesty and the Code of ethics of students were explained to students. During the meeting, issues such as the principles of corporate behavior of university students, the relationship between students and teachers, the behavior during school hours, the appearance, protection of university property, types of disciplinary misconduct, and measures taken against violators of the Code were discussed in detail.
Students were introduced to the academic policy and new approaches to assessing student learning outcomes. The issues of the ideology of education at the university, academic honesty, and internal rules were also raised.
This topic aroused great interest among students – they not only listened carefully, but also actively engaged in the discussion process. Thus, it is worth noting that our main guideline is the education of highly qualified, competent, proactive, creative youth, endowed with a sense of duty and responsibility towards society.
