Meeting with the 3rd Year Students of the Specialty “General Medicine”

In order to optimize the introduction of new approaches to education, on October 3, 2019, the School of Medicine in conjunction with the Department of Quality Control of Medical Education (DQCME) specialists held a meeting with the 3rd year students of the specialty “General Medicine”. During the meeting, topical issues on the use of the KEYPS system, schedule features, assessment methods and examinations were discussed. DQCME chief specialist Rinat Bikbayev explained to the students the structure of the new curriculum, the methodology of formative and summative assessments, the principles for assessing students’ theoretical and practical knowledge. Alexander Prokazyuk conducted a detailed briefing on using KEYPS, checking the schedule and handouts. In general, the meeting was held in a free discussion format, which undoubtedly helped students to clarify problem points and better understand the goals of the new curriculum.
