On January 30, 2020, a regular meeting of the Chairman of the Board – Rector Yersin Zhunussov with students of the 5th year of “General Medicine” specialty was held. The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the Board (Provost) Fazıl Serdar Gürel, Director of the Department of Academic Work Aigul Zhunussova, Dean of the School of Medicine Laura Pak, Methodologist of the Department of Quality Control of Medical Education Alexander Prokazyuk, and the assistant teacher of the Department of Infectuous Diseases and Immunology Vasilisa Trenina.
The event began with up-to-date information – the lecture named “Prevention and treatment of coronavirus”. The lecturer answered students’ questions on this topic regarding the transmission of the virus, consequences, diagnosis and treatment.
The Chairman of the Board – Rector noted how important such meetings are to discuss current issues, to receive answers, and to enhance mutual understanding. During the meeting, important issues of changes in the educational process, the work off of state educational grants were discussed, as well as clarifications on the university’s strategy.
First Deputy Chairman of the Board (Provost) Fazıl Serdar Gürel provided information on studying in Turkey.Holding such meetings is a very important and necessary event for all participants to identify problematic issues in the educational process and consider ways to solve them!
