Everyone knows that the role of the English language in the modern world is invaluable, especially for future doctors. Knowledge of a foreign language gives you the opportunity not only to improve your skills, but also to increase the level of your knowledge by studying various medical literature from other countries, as well as attending international conferences, congresses; to study and practice abroad; to exchange experience and knowledge with foreign colleagues.

On February 24, 2021, the “My Medical English” event on the Google meet platform was held at Semey Medical University by COMM activists, the SCOPE Standing Committee for Professional Exchange. The main guest speaker was Akerke Rabilova, an English teacher at the Al-Farabi 3rd Language School-Gymnasium for Gifted children. At this event, the importance of the Reading section of the international IELTS exam was discussed. Students learned in detail about the rules of this part of the exam, received valuable advice and motivation to improve their knowledge.
