On April 1-2, 2021, in Bishkek, Republic of Kyrgyzstan, on the basis of the International Higher School of Medicine, the final international scientific and practical conference was held following the results of the Erasmus Plus “TUTORIAL” project (“Strengthening network for education, research and innovation in environmental and occupational health ”). The project aims to increase the innovative potential of research and education in medical universities in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan through the training of masters and doctors in the field of public health (environmental protection and occupational health, epidemiology, etc.) and equipping educational laboratories.
During the conference, the reports of the project partners from the University of Milan (Italy), the University of Tartu (Estonia), the Occupational Health Development Fund (the Netherlands), the Scientific Research Institute of Occupational Medicine named after Academician N.F. Izmerov, Universities of Central Asia and others. Director of the Department of Strategic Development Aigerim Rakhimova acted as the representative from NC JSC “SMU”.
The results of the project in 2017-2020 for the Semey Medical University are an increase in the professional competences of teaching staff in the field of environment and health protection and public health, the improvement and creation of master’s and doctoral modules, the development and implementation of new pedagogical methods, the purchase of equipment and software were organized. In addition, within the framework of this consortium, it is planned to implement the HARMONEE project – Harmonization and Mutual Recognition of Master’s Programs in Occupational Health and Environment 2021-2024.
