On March 16, 2022, the Department of Public Health, together with the Department for the Employment of graduates of the NAO MUS, organized a meeting with graduate students of the Faculty of Public Health. The topics of the meeting were determined : Familiarization of graduates with the prospects of additional education ; Master ‘s degree in the chosen profile; The impact of the developed promising new training modules within the framework of the Project “Harmonization and recpirocial recognition of Master’s programs in occupational and environmental health / HARMONEE” on knowledge and practice in the field of public health.
The head of the Department of Public Health, Z.A. Khismetova, acquainted the students with the prospects of studying in the magistracy, which competencies are formed through education in the magistracy, about employment after graduation, about the possibility of continuing their studies in the future in the doctoral program in the specialty “Public Health”.
The chief specialist of the Department for Employment Turarova E.M., acquainted students with the rules of admission to the master’s degree in 2022, about comprehensive testing, exams for admission, grants, trial testing, said that admission to the master’s degree is carried out by state order (grant) and at the expense of tuition fees from their own funds and other sources.
Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health Tokanova Sh.E., presented the Master’s degree programs in the specialties “Public Health” and “Preventive Medicine”. These two specialties have directions: scientific – pedagogical and specialized. Within the framework of the HARMONIE project, new modules are additionally being developed that are necessary to strengthen interdisciplinary skills in the field of public health and which, at the student’s choice, will be included in the master’s degree educational programs.
In an interview with graduates, it turned out that almost 50% of students plan to enroll in a master’s degree. Students asked questions to which they received complete answers and recommendations.
