On April 5, 1522, foreign groups of the medical faculty visited the “Historical and Local Lore” and “Literary and Memorial Museums of the Great Abai”. The students learned about the history of Semey, listened to interesting facts about the great Kazakh poet and writer Abay Kunanbaev and got acquainted with his biography. One of the students of the group, Taki Muhammad, showed particular interest in Abai’s poems, listened to the poems with the help of headphones of museum. Museum staff also introduced Kazakh culture to foreign students.
At the end, the students got acquainted with Kazakh national values, got acquainted with poets and writers, shared their impressions with the audience.
