On May 17, 2022, on the basis of the Department of IT in Medicine of NJSC “MUS”, the Inter-University Interdisciplinary Olympiad “Information and Communication Technologies and Medical Biophysics” was held among students of NJSC “Semey Medical University”. The Olympiad was held as part of student Olympiads in order to identify and develop the special professional abilities of future medical specialists, which is one of the factors supporting talented students. The event began with a greeting of the participants of the Olympiad represented by the head of the department, Ph.D. Mussatayeva I.S., senior teacher Kussainova K.T. and teacher Massalimova A.N.
The Olympiad consisted of two rounds. Round 1 was held in the form of an online test on the curriculum of the Biophysics discipline. In the second round, the participants were offered medical-oriented practical tasks on the use of digital skills when working with application software. Tasks were evaluated depending on the level of difficulty from 20 to 30 points.
35 students of the specialty “General Medicine” of the School of Medicine and the foreign faculty took part in the Olympiad.
The winners were determined by the sum of two rounds:
Diploma 1 degree Абдулькабир Саманд
Diploma 2 degree Назымбек Алмас, Думан Ержан
Diploma 3 degree Shah Sher, Sayyed Numan Akbar, Жанатов Ғалымжан
The winners were awarded certificates of honor and memorable prizes. All participants were awarded certificates for active participation.
