At the Department of Therapeutic Dentistry, an Olympiad was organized and held among 5th-year students of the Faculty of Dentistry on the topic “aesthetic restoration”, dedicated to the program “Rukhani Zhangyru”. The purpose of the Olympiad: the disclosure of creative abilities, selection and support of talented and gifted students.
The Olympiad consisted of 4 stages: stage 1-testing, stage 2-homework (making a tooth sample from plasticine, imitation wax, etc.), stage 3 – tooth restoration with composite filling material, stage 4-quiz. At the 1st stage, 5th year students (groups 504-507) passed the selection tests. According to the results of the first and second stages, 8 students passed to the third stage. At the third stage, students restored the Lower First molar in simulation blocks. The restoration was carried out with light reinforcing composite materials, in time – for 30 minutes. Each participant demonstrated individual restoration and artistic modeling skills. According to the results of the selection in the final, 3 students took part in the final quiz competition.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the 1st place was taken by the student of group 505 Maksutov Ernazar, the 2nd place was taken by the student of group 506 Abylkakova Symbat, the 3rd place was taken by the student of group 505 Zeynegabylova Aida. The winners who took 1st, 2nd, 3rd places were awarded diplomas and symbolic gifts from the organizers.
