In order to implement the program, the visiting professor from 26.05.2022 to 31.05.2022. a master class was held on the topic: “Topical issues of Molecular Genetics. Modern molecular methods for the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of various diseases” by visiting professor Nariaki FUJIMOTO, Hiroshima University (Japan) within the framework of academic mobility for teaching staff of departments, doctoral students, residents, undergraduates of “Semey Medical University”. A series of lectures in English were read to the teachers-staff of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raisov T.K., the Department of Pathological Anatomy and Forensic Medicine named after Professor Yu.V. Pruglo, the Department of Infectious Diseases and Immunology, the Department of Public Health, Department of Surgical, Orthopedic Dentistry “Semey Medical University”.
Academic mobility programs for faculty and visiting professors are one of the most important areas of international and educational activities of universities aimed at improving and enriching teaching skills, modernizing higher medical education, improving the quality and efficiency of education, implementing joint curricula, and research projects, participation in internships at foreign universities, familiarization with the cultural communities of other countries.
Lectures were given on the following topics:

2. Proteomics 2 – Proteomics for disease diagnosis
3. Proteomics 3 – Proteomics for drug discovery
4. Gene expression 1 – Microarray and RNA-Seq
5. Gene expression 2 – Molecular mechanisms of gene expression
6. Gene Expression 3 – Gene Expression and Disease
7. Gene expression 4 – Gene expression and cancer
8. Gene expression 5 – From genome to gene function: relationship between variation in human genome variation and regulation/expression of disease-associated genes.
Lectures were held at a high modern methodological level with accessible, deep, interesting content, videos were shown during the lectures, answers to questions were discussed as feedback from the participants. Teachers and students listened to lectures with interest, asked questions, expressed gratitude to Professor Fujimoto.
