From June 14 to 17, 2022, on the basis of the Regional Center for Phthisiopulmonology and Rehabilitation of the city of Semey, a training seminar was held on the topic “Innovative methods of diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis in the PHC network”.
The lecturer of the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery named after B.S. Bulanov, MD Chunkayeva D.D. noted that it is impossible to improve the situation of tuberculosis without including anti-tuberculosis measures in the activities of the workers of the PHC network.
The seminar provided an overview of the general principles of detection, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis, including drug-resistant, taking into account the latest WHO recommendations and regulatory documents on tuberculosis control in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Special attention was paid to accelerated molecular genetic methods of diagnosis of the disease, new treatment regimens and ways to eliminate adverse events that occur during the use of anti-tuberculosis drugs, outpatient models of care for patients with tuberculosis.
For four days, 105 doctors and 145 secondary medical workers of primary health care became participants of the seminar. The seminar was held in a very lively form, with questions and answers. All participants of the seminar received certificates.
