October 1 is the International Day of the Elderly. This is a holiday of respect and veneration of old age, recognition of the merits of the elderly. Taking care of ensuring a decent old age for every citizen is one of the main tasks of the social policy of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

While working at the university, we observe the traditions. Our department has always maintained visits to veterans, whom we never forget. Every new generation of Kazakhstanis learns from the wisdom of their elders, their experience and moral qualities. So, on October 1, 2022, we congratulated our veteran of the department, who is now on a well-deserved rest, a surgeon with a capital letter, Viktor Fedorovich Zonov, on the Day of Wisdom, Kindness and Respect. Viktor Fedorovich made a huge contribution at the stage of formation and development of our department. A wonderful teacher with a capital letter, a professional in his field! All the years of his work, he spared no effort, tirelessly shared his experience and knowledge with the younger generation for the benefit of the prosperity of medicine. It is our duty to help veterans.

Saying goodbye, we expressed our great gratitude to our dear Viktor Fedorovich, wishing him health, happiness and long life!
