Participation in the IV International Congress “Almaty Hepatology 2022”

On October 6-7, 2022, the IV International Congress “Almaty Hepatology 2022” was held in Almaty, organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh National Medical University named after. S. D. Asfendiyarov Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Association for the Study of the Liver, Institute of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Metabolism.

The program included plenary sessions and scientific symposiums in the following areas: chronic viral hepatitis, metabolic-associated (non-alcoholic) and alcoholic fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver diseases, drug-induced liver damage, liver cirrhosis and its complications, orphan liver diseases, vascular liver diseases, carcinogenesis and carcinoprevention in hepatology.

On October 7, 2022, at the session “Reactivation of chronic infectious diseases with liver damage during the COVID-19 pandemic”, employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenerology and Immunology of NJSC “MUS” made a report “Gastrointestinal lesions in Covid-19” (Smail E. M., Nuralinova G. I., Maukayeva S. B., Isabekova Zh. B.).

The congress was attended by gastroenterologists, infectious disease specialists, therapists, general practitioners, radiologists, oncologists, and surgeons.
