On October 7, 2022, an online seminar was held for medical workers at the inpatient and polyclinic level of the Abay region on the topic: “Influenza and other acute respiratory infections in children”.

The incidence of influenza and other acute respiratory viral diseases, including among children, is still relevant. This seminar was organized under the leadership of the head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the NCJSC SMU, the chief freelance pediatric infectious disease specialist of the Abay region Efendiyev I. M., with the support of the health department of the Abay region.

The opening speech was delivered by the speaker Efendiyev Imdat Musa oglu, who focused the attention of the participants on the relevance of the problem, clinical and epidemiological features of acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in children. The report “Etiological structure, epidemiology, classification and clinic of influenza and ARVI in children” was made by assistant of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Mansurova A. A. According to the seminar plan, assistant of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Dalelkanova T. D. continued her presentation “Differential diagnosis, laboratory examination, therapy and prevention of influenza and ARVI in children”. The results of the seminar were summed up by Efendiyev Imdat Musa oglu.

The organizers of the seminar received feedback at the end and answered the questions of the participants. The seminar was attended by 77 students.
