In the period from October 17 to October 21 of this year, within the framework of the academic mobility program, a master class of visiting professor Zuura Dzholbunova, MD, Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. K. Akhunbayev on the topic “Topical issues of infectious diseases” was held in offline at the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of SMU, NCJSC. The seminar was attended by 4th year students of the specialty “General Medicine” (groups 4407, 4408, 4415), internship students of the specialty “General medical practice” (group 611), students of the residency of the specialty “Infectious diseases adults, children” (group 101), students of the residency of the specialty “Family medicine” (group 201), also, the teaching staff of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases and pediatric infectious diseases doctors of the Infectious Diseases Hospital of the Abay region, a total of 52 participants.
The seminar was solemnly opened by the head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the SMU, NCJSC Efendiyev I. M., who introduced the visiting professor Dzholbunova Z. K. to the audience. During five days of her lectures, the professor revealed in detail the issues of infectious diseases in children (acute intestinal infections, measles infections, rash syndrome, bacterial meningitis, vaccine-controlled infectious diseases). During the master class, the participants actively debated and asked questions to the lecturer.
On the final day of the seminar, as feedback, the listeners answered the questions of the master class through the Kahoot platform. At the end of the seminar, certificates were awarded to all participants in a solemn atmosphere. The students noted that the acquired knowledge will contribute to the improvement of their competencies in mastering the subject ” infectious diseases”. The participants of the seminar expressed gratitude to visiting Professor Head of the Department of Pediatric Infectious Diseases of the I. K. Akhunbayev KSMU Dzholbunova Z. K., as well as Head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the SMU, NCJSC Efendiyev I. M. and to his team for organizing a master class at a high level.
