In Kazakhstan, COVID-19 caused by the Omicron strain was detected in all regions. According to the World Health Organization, in the world, this variant of coronavirus infection prevails over others – more than 70% of all infections. Some omicron mutations are similar to Delta and Beta mutations. COVID-19 caused by the Omicron strain is characterized clinically by fever, respiratory catarrhal syndrome, intoxication, myalgia, dyspepsia, and exanthema.
