Mastering practical skills by master students of the specialty “Medical-preventive care” in the discipline “Food safety management”

At the Department of Public Health, Esbergenova Alina , the master student of the specialty “Medical and preventive care” (profile direction) studied the discipline “Food Safety Management”. This discipline contributes to the formation of students’ skills in the field of food quality and safety management based on the systematic identification of the assessment and management of hazards that affect product safety.

At the studying some number of topics of the cycle, incl. “The problem of food contamination with pesticides”, “Ecological and hygienic safety of food”, the master’s student mastered the practical skill of measuring the nitrate content and determining the radiation background in fresh vegetables and fruits using Greentest ECO 4F and Greentestmini testers, purchased with Erasmus + funding. These testers are used to control the environmental situation, including determining the level of nitrates in food products, as well as water hardness and background radiation.

The equipment purchased within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Harmonization and mutual recognition of master’s programs in occupational health and the environment – Harmonee” contributes to the master’s students mastering the necessary practical components of the educational process.
