On February 1, 2023, at the Department of Simulation and Educational Technologies, a meeting of students with the outstanding doctor Aubakirov Maratbek Tokanovich was held. The students got acquainted with some biographical data of Maratbek Tokanovich and achievements in the career of a doctor. Aubakirov M.T. graduated from the Semipalatinsk State Medical Institute in 1976, a pediatric surgeon of the highest qualification category, an excellent worker of Public Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an out-of-staff pediatric surgeon in the Semey region. During the period of his career, the doctor worked for 21 years as the head of the pediatric surgical department of the University Hospital of SMU, NCJSC. With his assistance, for the first time in Semey in 2012, on the basis of the Perinatal Center, surgical beds for newborns were opened, where operations were performed on patients with malformations. In addition to medical activities, the doctor is actively engaged in scientific work. Maratbek Tokanovich has a Ph.D. in Medicine, is the author of 130 scientific papers, developed 13 inventions in the field of treatment of childhood surgical diseases, co-authored two monographs and the textbook “Pediatric surgery”. Students with great interest asked questions during the conversation. And words of gratitude were said.
