On February 6, 2023, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology organized a round table with the support of the Departments of Radiology, Infectious Diseases, Immunology, and Dermatovenerology, to discuss “Effective Ways to Combat Stress”. The event took place at Dormitory No. 1 and was attended by first-year students of General Medicine, Dentistry, and curatorial groups 5108, 5214, 5216, 5322, 3207 GM, as well as first and second-year residents.
The round table was opened with a warm welcome from the Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD Moldagaliev T. M., and was also attended by Assistant Professors Almagambetova A. A., Ermekbayev A. U., Shaimardanov E. K., Assistant of the Department of Radiology Kuanysheva A. G., and Assistant of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Immunology, and Dermatovenerology Turakhanova B. S.
The speakers emphasized the importance of effective preventive and emergency measures to alleviate mental and physical fatigue. They explained that all human experiences are stored in the body and provided information on various effective ways to relieve muscle tension, such as body-oriented and emotional-stress psychotherapy, respiratory relaxation, and other methods. The participants also took part in psychotherapeutic trainings to relieve negative psycho-emotional tensions and promote a positive attitude.
The students actively participated in the discussions and asked questions, and the psychotherapeutic training received high praise.
