The Department of General Educational Disciplines at Semey Medical University recently held an essay competition for first and second-year students from February 1 to February 14, 2023. The competition, entitled “My profession is my conscious choice,” aimed to promote students’ civic consciousness and sense of responsibility for the future of their country.

A total of 120 students from all specialties participated in the contest, with 42 students submitting essays in Kazakh, 72 in Russian, and 14 in English. The winners were announced on February 15, 2023, following a thorough review by the organizing committee.

The winners of the essay competition in Russian were Dyusupova Asylzhan, Zhabay Zhanbota, Danata Usmanova, Isainova Aruzhan, Mauitkazy Dinara, and Oralbayeva Guldana. Additionally, the following students were nominated for their exceptional work: Beisembay Merey, Alexandra Ismagulova, Toleugaliyev Aibyn, and Berikkanova Nazerke.

The Kazakh language essay winners were Seyilkhan Aigerim, Borangazina Nurai, Kenzhekhanov Ali, Barbolsynova Aisara, Zhazylbek Ali, and Gylmanov Daurenbek, with Zakaryanova Zere, Aitkaliyev Bakhtiyar, Zakieva Dilyara, Galymova Aruzhan, and Koishybayeva Dana receiving nominations.

Finally, the English language winners were Mauitkazy Dinara, Rakhimzhanova Erkezhan, and Ehtisham Mushtaq.
