Implementation of the program “Academic mobility of teaching staff” at the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raisov T.K.

The program of academic mobility of the teaching staff is one of the most important areas of international and educational activities of universities, carried out with the aim of improving and enriching teaching skills, modernizing higher medical education, improving the quality and efficiency of education, implementing joint curricula, research projects, participating in internships at foreign universities.

From February 13 to February 17, 2023, within the framework of the academic mobility program of the teaching staff from the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Raisov T.K., professor of the department Mynzhanov M.R., teachers of the department Musapirova A.B., Elkenova B.Z. online lectures were read on the discipline “Biology in Medicine” for 1st year students of the specialty 31.05.01 “General Medicine” of the Ryazan State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation on the topics:

  1. Molecular bases of heredity. Genodiagnostics . Genetic passport.
  2. Classical genetics. Patterns of inheritance in monohybrid and dihybrid crosses. Gene Interaction.
  3. Genetics of sex. Chromosomal theory of heredity.
  4. Hereditary diseases. Classification. Causes of occurrence. Early manifestations of hereditary diseases.
  5. Methods for studying human genetics.

Lectures were held at a high modern methodological level with accessible, deep, interesting content; during the lectures, after each section, situational tasks were considered and answers to questions were discussed as feedback from students. Students listened to the lectures with interest, asked questions, expressed their gratitude to the lecturers.

The lectures given to students will lay a solid foundation of knowledge in molecular biology and medical genetics for further development as a future doctor. Universities partners expressed their hope for further fruitful cooperation.[/vc_column_text]
