On February 17, 2023, a military-patriotic event was held in honor of the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan under the guidance of the teacher of the Military Department, Lieutenant Colonel Nurbek Sadenovich Smailov, organized by cadets of platoon 3316 of the medical faculty.

The purpose of this event was to convey to the younger generation the spirit of love for the Motherland, following the feat of our veteran grandfathers. During the event, it was told about the feat of our veteran grandfathers, who for ten years withstood the fire of war, showed courage.

He remembered all the soldiers-internationalists who fought far from their homeland, loyal to the military oath, who showed high standards of courage and courage.

Our duty is to reveal the historical significance of the Afghan war, to show the next generation an example of the courage of our brothers who fought for independence, to honor and respect the veteran soldiers who today participate with us in the development of the country. The names of all our citizens who gave their lives for their Motherland and with honor who have fulfilled their civic duty will be inscribed in golden letters in history.
