On February 15, 2023, a meeting with soldiers-internationalists was held in Semey, Abay region, in honor of the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

The event was attended by veterans of the Afghan war, teachers, teachers and students of the school, as well as students and teaching staff of the Military Department of Semey Medical University, NCJSC.

During the event dedicated to the 34th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, a solemn opening ceremony took place, and participants laid flowers at the monument to the soldiers-internationalists who died in Afghanistan. Those present here remembered for a minute of silence all those who died heroically in this war. The event continued with a concert program at the Abai theater, as well as a solemn ceremony of awarding letters of thanks to Afghan soldiers.

Such events instill in the younger generation a spirit of love for the motherland. The purpose of this meeting is to instill in young people a sense of patriotism, to educate readiness to defend the motherland not only in words, but also in deeds.
