On February 18, 2023, teachers of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of NAS RK Raisov T.K. – Mukhamediyarov L.A.; Yessentaeva A.M. in the house of students No. 1 conducted educational and educational work on the topic: “Contraception. Sexual education of young people. Prevention of unwanted pregnancy in minors”, the issues of sex education of the younger generation, the formation of young people’s value attitude to their health were considered.
Modern medical and sociological studies indicate a deterioration in the health of children during puberty. In recent years, a progressive increase in the younger generation of venereal and gynecological diseases, disorders in sexual development, the frequency of cases of antisocial sexual behavior (sexual promiscuity, prostitution, sexual aggressiveness, abortion) has become particularly dangerous. One of the most severe consequences of sexual lack of culture is an extremely low contraceptive culture, as a result of which artificial abortion still remains the leading method of planning and regulating fertility. The younger generation should be literate in matters of contraception.
Lecturer Mukhamediarova L.A. told the students about methods of contraception: she stopped at classifications such as: hormonal, intrauterine, chemical, surgical, barrier, mechanical, emergency contraception and so on, told about puberty, about female and male reproductive systems. She focused on the effectiveness, indications and contraindications of each method, showed the formula of the Pearl index. In Kazakhstan, there are orders regarding termination of pregnancy and artificial abortion, more precisely, I stopped at the order of the Ministry of Health No. 626 of July 28, 2015.
The students liked the lecture very much, at the end of the lecture, the students asked questions of interest, respectively, the lecturer answered each of them. Laura Altaevna noted that students can apply for individual questions. The teachers thanked all the students for their participation and activity during the lecture.
