On February 24, 2023, the lecturer of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after the Academician of NAS the Republic of Kazakhstan Raissov T.K. Mukhamediyarova L.A. with 1st year students, curatorial group 1103 visited the “Museum of Fine Arts named after the Nevzorov family”.
The museum is located in a beautiful building – a monument of architecture of the XIX century, known as the “Merchant Stepanov’s House”. A cozy, two-storey building with spacious halls, high ceilings and a grand staircase, perfectly meets the task of storing and exhibiting the collection. The museum has a restoration workshop, an art salon. The Children’s Art Studio is very popular.
Lecture halls are open, creative classes are held for schoolchildren, author programs of family groups have been created and are working. The noble act of Yulia Vladimirovich and his family, which has no precedent in Kazakhstan today, has been marked by the state. He received a high government award — the Order of Parasat. Yuliy Vladimirovich, Antonina Mikhailovna and Yulia Yulyevna Nevzorov are honorary citizens of our city. Guide: we had sightseeing tours of the museum sections: Western European painting and graphics of the XVI – XIX centuries; Russian and Soviet painting and graphics of the XIX – XX centuries; Art of Kazakhstan. The museum has collections from different genres and also countries, the works of K. Bryullov, V. Tropinin, A. Venetsianov, A. Mokritsky, E. Krendovsky, I. Khrutsky, Ustianovich, I. Kramsky, N. Ge, V. Makovsky, N. Bogdanov – Belsky, N. Dmitriev – Orenburg, etc. attracted special attention. In addition, there is a hall of works by Kazakhstani artists: A. Kasteev, S. Kalmykov, L. Leontiev, A. Cherkassky, A. Galimbaev, E. Sidorkina, P. Salzman, G. Ismailova, S. Mambeeva, Zh. Shardenova. It was interesting to learn about the facts; this is a painting in the genre of “Nature and Painting”, which is a gift from the first director (rector) of the Institute (NCJSC “SEMEY MEDICAL UNIVERSITY”) Honored Doctor of the Kazakh USSR Bobov Vasily Sergeevich.
A museum is a place that shows a real picture, not a story made of paper. Everyone can see interesting facts with their own eyes and touch cultural and historical monuments and paintings with their hand. Our department is sure that in this way a love for the history of their country is instilled, they get acquainted with the sights, consider history in all the depth of events. Our students were spiritually enriched and were very pleased with their visit to the museum.
