24.02 to 28.02.2023, the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology held a series of lectures on the topic: “Prevention of addiction to psychoactive substances, ludomania”. Participants: students of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 courses of GM, 1, 2 course of pediatrics. The welcoming speech to the students of the Semey Medical University was delivered by: Head of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, PhD Doctor, Moldagaliyev T.M., assistants of the Department Zhanybekov S.Dzh., Bryzhakhina Zh.D., Almagambetova A.A. Seksenbayev N.Zh. In their speech, they highlighted that the main purpose of the event is to form students’ understanding of the prevention of addiction to psychoactive substances, ludomania.

A presentation was presented, where the concept of addictions, characteristic general neurophysiological mechanisms, psychological, sociological theories of the formation of addictions to psychoactive substances, and ludomania were given.

Psychotherapeutic trainings were conducted with the active participation of 5108 GM group.
