On March 10, 2023, a seminar for experienced pediatricians on the topic “Nutritional support for children with protein-energy deficiency” was held at the Department of Pediatrics and Medical Rehabilitation named after D. M. Tusupova within the framework of the school “Deficient conditions in children”. During the seminar, the assistant of the department, M. S. Nazarbekova, presented data on UpToDate for today in the care of children with BEN and clinical recommendations according to WHO recommendations, as well as a specialist in infant nutrition, nutritionist Nuralinova Ainur Turusbekovna, gave new information on infant formulas and correct nutrition calculations for children with BEN. At the seminar, questions were raised about clinical cases that the participants encountered in their practice, and together with a specialist nutritionist, consultations were given on the proper management of patients.
