The Department of Stomatological  Disciplines and Maxillofacial Surgery organized and held the “Korisu kuni” and Nauryz holiday on March 20 at its educational and clinical bases (educational building No. 5 and UG NAO “MUS”). “Korisu /Amal merekesi is an ancient Kazakh tradition of greeting elders with younger ones, asking for blessings and longevity. Junior and senior students study in different academic buildings, but on the day of the celebration of “Korisu Kuni” they met at the same clinical base (improvisation of the village), went to visit each other, played the dombra, sang songs, congratulated, etc.

All teaching staff of the department (curators, mentors) and students of the 4th and 5th courses took part in the event dedicated to the Nauryz holiday.  In each group, a dastarkhan was covered with nauryz-kozhe, beshbarmak, kumys, baursaks, etc. Each component of Nauryz-kozhe symbolized one of the seven life principles: growth, luck, happiness, wealth, health, wisdom and the patronage of heaven.

Students of the 501 group, led by their teacher Suleimeneva D.M., who organized a yurt decorated in a traditional, national style, with a rich dastarkhan, participated especially actively. And also the students of the 404 group with the curator Kalikhanov K.E. organized and conducted the ceremony “Tusau kesu”, according to tradition, a blessing (bata) was given at the end. Both events are well organized, were interesting, fun, friendly.  Congratulations to everyone on the Nauryz holiday![/vc_column_text]
