March 24, 2023 at the Department of Microbiology named after Professor M.M. Urazalin, together with the curatorial groups under the Silver University program, a curatorial hour was held dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Honored Professor of the Department of Microbiology of the Semey Medical University Urazalin Marat Mautkanovich. The purpose of the event was to acquaint students with the autobiography of the professor, his achievements in teaching and research. Marat Mautkanovich has government awards for his brilliant work activity and high professionalism. Author of the textbook of microbiology in the Kazakh language. He has more than 100 scientific publications, including in foreign scientific publications and journals. He was repeatedly recognized as the most cited author of scientific works. He was the first chairman of the Nevada-Semey anti-nuclear movement, within the framework of which the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site was closed.
