From February 28 to April 1, 2023, the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the  “SMU”, NCJSC in a mixed format held an advanced training course on the topic: “Selected issues of infectious diseases in children”. The lecturer of the course is c.m.s., Head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the  “SMU”, NCJSC Efendiyev I.M. The advanced training course consisted of lectures on the most pressing issues of infectious pathology in children, such as “Viral hepatitis in children”, “Measles in children”, “Meningococcal infection in children” and others, as well as practical training sessions with analysis of clinical cases and independent work of students. Much attention was paid to the expansion of knowledge on the identification and treatment of urgent conditions arising from infectious diseases in children, including neurotoxicosis syndrome, infectious-toxic shock, laryngeal stenosis and others.

The students of the course were doctors of children’s infectious diseases. At the end of the training, students will be issued a certificate of advanced training in the amount of 240 hours (8 credits). The course participants expressed their gratitude to the lecturer, and gave positive feedback on the cycle of the advanced training course as a whole.
