Spring has come – a period when people go to the country, get some fresh air outside the city, go fishing, have picnics. It must be remembered that this is still a period and time of increased danger of getting sick with dangerous infectious diseases, which are carried by ticks. Tick-borne viral encephalitis is an acute infectious viral disease, with a primary lesion of the central nervous system. Consequences of the disease: from complete recovery to health disorders leading to disability and death.
On the territory of the East Kazakhstan region, bordering our region, natural foci of tick-borne encephalitis are Glubokovsky, Zaisansky, Zyryanovsky, Katon-Karagaysky, Kokpektinsky (Samara region), Ulansky, Shemonaikhinsky districts, the vicinity of the cities of Ridder and Ust-Kamenogorsk.
Seminar “Prevention of tick-borne encephalitis and tick-like typhus» was held at the Central Emergency Medical Station of Abay region Abay region on 05.04.2023. The seminar was moderated by GP interns of 616 group of Semey Medical Univercity.
During the seminar, future doctors covered the epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis of tick-borne encephalitis, tick-borne typhus. Issues of specific and non-specific prevention of tick-borne encephalitis were analyzed in detail.
