On March 24, 1982, german scientist Robert Koch discovered the causative agent of tuberculosis -Mycobacterium tuberculosis. World Tuberculosis Day was approved in 1982 by the decision of the World Health Organization (WHO). On this day, all countries of the world annually hold large-scale actions aimed at eliminating the tuberculosis epidemic.
Interns of the Department of GMP of the Ust-Kamenogorsk branch of the SMU, NCJSC, also took part in this event. 626 and 627 groups of GMP conducted preventive conversations in educational institutions of Ust- Kamenogorsk on the topic: “Prevention of tuberculosis in adolescents”. The conversation was attended by students of grades 9-11: MSI “Akhmerovskaya Secondary School”, MSI “Glubokovskaya Secondary School named after Y.Altynsarina” , Lyceum No. 44 named after Oralkhan Bokey, MSI “Secondary School No. 46”.
