The profession of a doctor requires knowledge of not only the activities of a narrow profile, but also the possession of additional knowledge in other profiles. Often, the treatment of one disease can cause the development of other concomitant diseases that require the intervention of specialists in different areas. For the skills of developing clinical thinking and solving specific problem situations that require an interprofessional approach, the Department of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology introduced the method of interprofessional peer training (“InterProfessional Peer Training”, IPPT). The essence of the method is to conduct a training consultation for the analysis of a clinical case by residents of several specialties.
06.04.23 within the framework of the cycle “Rheumatology”, an open lesson on IPPT technology was held on the topic “Gastroenterological problems in rheumatology” with the participation of residents of the Rheumatology and Gastroenterology educational programs. The facilitator was acting Associate Professor Rymbaeva Tamara Khamitovna. Resident rheumatologists: Beisengazinova Akzhan, Eshmukhamet Merey, Ilyas Zhanar, together with the clinical mentor acting. Professor Goremykina Maya Valentinovna, assistant of the department Bersimbekova Gulzhan Baltabekovna presented a clinical case on the topic. Resident gastroenterologists Muzdubaev Daulet and Bagdatkyzy Fariza together with PhD Shakhanova Aizhan Tungyshkhanovna presented the causes of development, modern methods of treating gastroenterological problems. During the discussion, residents were asked a number of questions, additional recommendations were given on the management of patients with this pathology. Based on the results of the consultation, residency students and mentors expressed their opinion on the IPPT technology, on the need for joint activities of doctors of different specialties to improve the health of the population, on the correct selection of drugs and the prevention of complications. As listeners of this open lesson, there were 6th year GP interns, 4th year bachelor students of GM. As an observer, the head teacher of the Department of Family Medicine, assistant Khismetova Amina Mukhamedollaevna and head of the department of internal diseases and rheumatology Kaskabaeva Alida Sharipovna were present at the open lesson, who gave positive feedback and emphasized the importance of this problem at the outpatient stage.
