On April 26, the Semey Medical University, NCJSC was visited by a foreign delegation from Poland led by Prof. WSG. dr. ALEXANDER SKALIY is a WSG teacher, Director of the WSG Institute of Sports and Physical Culture, researcher, long–term lifeguard, WOPR instructor, author and project manager.
The project “Breast Cancer self-diagnosis training for Kazakhstani youth” is co-financed by the Polish-American Freedom Foundation within the framework of the RITA program “Changes in the Region” implemented by the Education for Democracy Foundation with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Poland.
The realizer of the project is the AZS WCG Society (Poland, Bydgoszcz).
The project participants are partner universities:

This project is being implemented in three stages within 1 year.
- Training of teaching staff – representatives of universities participating in the project in Poland (Bydgoszcz) in methods of teaching self-diagnosis of breast cancer (took place from September 19 to 24, 2022, Balashkevich N.A. – Department of General Medical Practice of Semey were delegated from the SMU, NCJSC; Oraltaeva G.K. – Department of Obstetrics and gynecology named after A. A. Kozbagarov).
- Training in breast cancer self–diagnosis of 100 university employees (teaching staff, AUP, UVS) and 500 students for early detection of breast cancer in order to reduce mortality from it (October 2022 – March 2023).
- Organization of “Academic days of breast cancer control” at partner universities in Semey with the participation of Polish specialists and an intensive advertising campaign (April 2023).
Participation in this International project contributes to maintaining the health of the population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Prof. WSG. Dr. ALEXANDER SKALIY presented letters of thanks to the Chairman of the Board – Rector A.A. Dyusupov and the participants of the project N.A. Balashkevich, G.K. Oraltayeva. The presentation of WSG University was presented to the participants of the meeting. At the meeting, the parties discussed further prospects for cooperation.[/vc_column_text]
