On April 25th, 2023, Semipalatinsk Medical University’s Department of General Education Disciplines organized a bilingual dictation “Temirbek Zhurgenov – A Public and Cultural Figure” to commemorate the 125th anniversary of his birth. The dictation was held for first and second-year students from the Kazakh and Russian departments, with approximately 100 students participating.
The dictation aimed to provide an example of a moral person who has made significant contributions to the development of Kazakh culture and the strengthening of unity through language learning. The participants’ results were based on the accuracy of their written dictations.
In the Kazakh language dictation, Galymbek Alikhan from the 1301 group of the dentistry specialty took first place, followed by Usmanova Danata and Toleugaliev Aybin from the 1309 group of dentistry specialties who tied for second. Zeynel Timur from the pharmacy specialty’s 1314 group, Sailaubek Bekzhan from the 1301 group of the dentistry specialty, and Naukebaeva Balaus from the 201 group of the public health specialty shared third place.
In the Russian language dictation, Gazizova Lyazzat from the 1108 group of the general medicine specialty took first place. Mendykulova Baglan and Razak Rasul from the 1108 and 1102 groups of the general medicine specialty took second place. Kudaibergenova Dilnaz, Nekrasova Evgeniya, and Toktarov Rahat from the 1108 and 1109 groups of the general medicine specialty took third place.
The winners of the dictation, who competently demonstrated their knowledge of Temirbek Zhurgenov’s life and contributions, received awards.
