On April 28, 2023 a meeting of Multidisciplinary Society on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) was held in conference hall of University Hospital ” Semey Medical University” NCJSC. This meeting was organized by Society of gastroenterologists of Abay region headed by the chief freelance gastroenterologist of Abay region Zhylkibayeva K.Sh., Gastro School of «SMU» NCJSC represented by the head professor of Internal Diseases and Rheumatology Department Zhumadilova Z.K. with support of pharmacological company “Takeda”. Representatives of district and city primary health care of Abay region – district therapists, gastroenterologists, general practitioners, residents and interns participated in the meeting. K.Sh. Zhylkybaeva, chief freelance gastroenterologist of Abay region, informed participants of the meeting about the current situation of  prevalence of the IBD in Abay region, current problems of diagnostics, treatment and monitoring of this category of patients. Issues of multidisciplinary continuity and cooperation in treatment and follow-up of patients with IBD were discussed, especially during transition of adolescents from child health network to adult network. Professor of Internal Medicine and Rheumatology Department Zhumadilova Z.K. talked about new trends in diagnostics and treatment of IBD, about the need for timely prescription of biologics for patients with IBD. Treatment and monitoring schemes for this category of patients were provided.
