As part of the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Financial Monitoring for 2022-2026, approved by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan on October 6, 2022, the Department of General Education Disciplines conducted an information campaign for students of the Semey Medical University on May 3 to ensure the financial security of young people.
Financial literacy is the ability to effectively use knowledge and skills in managing personal financial resources throughout life to make sound financial decisions and achieve financial well-being. Unfortunately, the number of criminal offenses such as Internet fraud and financial pyramid schemes in the country has not decreased, and even educated and working citizens are not immune from the threat of deception.
In this regard, the Head of the Department of Business and Management at Alikhan Bokeikhan University, PhD, Aizhan Abeukhanovna Orynbasarova, gave lectures to Russian-speaking students on “Conceptual Foundations of General Economic and Financial Security of the Country,” while the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Business and Management at Alikhan Bokeikhan University, PhD, Berik Kaiypkanovich Kadyrov, spoke to Kazakh-speaking students on “Conceptual Foundations of Economic and Financial Security as a Whole,” which helped to improve the financial literacy of our students.
