26.05.2023, the scientific and methodological conference “Medical Microbiology and Infectology. Science and Education”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Professor Marat M. Urazalin.

Professor М. Urazalin has worked at the Medical University for more than 50 years. Marat M. Urazalin, having graduated with honors from our institute, studied in graduate school, successfully defended his PhD thesis at the Kharkiv Medical Institute, returned to the Department of Microbiology, later headed the department. Author and co-author of 90 publications, including abroad.

In addition to his professional activities, Marat Mautkanovich devoted a lot of time to social work. In the 1990s, he was Vice-rector for Academic Affairs. In 2002, he received the title of professor of the Department of Microbiology.

Marat Urazalin was one of the first activists of the anti–nuclear movement “Nevada – Semipalatinsk”. He was at the origins of the organization and implementation of English-language education for foreign students from India, Pakistan, Malaysia. The professor’s long-term fruitful work has been marked by numerous awards and letters of thanks.
The conference, which was held in a mixed format, was attended by colleagues, colleagues, students of Marat Urazalin. The conference was attended by scientists from different countries. These are Ozlem Kurd (Turkey), A. Novak, V. Shelikhov (Russia), M. Dusmagambetov, S. Kurmangalieva, A. Dmitrovsky, E. Smail, F. Rakhimzhanova, S. Maukaeva (Kazakhstan), as well as students of the SMU, NCJSC.

At the end of the conference, the results were summed up and certificates were awarded to participants and diplomas to students.[/vc_column_text][ult_buttons]
