On May 30, 2023, a meeting of the clinical council was held in the green hall of the main building of SMU, NCJSC.
The report on the topic «Reforming nursing: achievements, problems and prospects», was read by the assistant of the Department of Nursing, PhD A.M. Sharapieva
Topical issues were discussed:
- Discussion of the functional responsibilities of extended practice nurses.
- Development of unified functional responsibilities of nurses of extended practice.
- Introduction of functional responsibilities of nurses of extended practice.
The chief nurse of the UH of SMU, NCJSC M.A. Garashchenko, spoke about the current problems of the introduction of staff and the role of nurses of extended practice.
S.K. Musabayeva, acting chief nurse of «Polyclinic No. 6 of mixed type» shared her experience of introducing functional duties of nurses of extended practice.
A.A. Ospanova, senior nurse of the department of general medical practice working in the «Polyclinic No. 7 of the city of Semey» shared her experience of introducing the functional duties of nurses of extended practice.
The clinical council was completed by Duman Berikuly, Vice-rector for the clinic and postgraduate Education, instructed to develop a working group on the duties of nurses of extended practice, to solve topical issues that were raised at the meeting.
