In 2023, on May 30, in order to improve the effectiveness of preventive measures for tick-borne infections in the epidemic season of 2023, a seminar on the prevention of tick-borne encephalitis and tick-borne typhus was held at the City Sanitary and Epidemiological Station. On the territory of the East Kazakhstan region, bordering our region, natural foci of tick-borne encephalitis are Glubokovsky, Zaysansky, Zyryanovsky, Katon-Karagaysky, Kokpektinsky (Samara region), Ulansky, Shemonaikhinsky districts, the vicinity of the cities of Ridder and Ust-Kamenogorsk. The participants of the seminar were medical workers of medical institutions of Semey, the moderators of the seminar were the interns of the GP 617 of the SMU, NCJCS group. During the seminar, the future doctors covered the epidemiology, clinic, diagnosis of tick-borne encephalitis and tick-borne typhus, the issues of specific and non-specific prevention of tick-borne encephalitis were analyzed in detail.
