In the period from May 30 to May 31, 2023, the VIII Eurasian Congress of Dermatology, Cosmetology and Aesthetic Medicine was held in Astana. Honored figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan (RK), professors and dermatovenereologists from Uzbekistan, Russia, USA, Germany, Latvia, Azerbaijan, Turkey took part in the work of the Congress. The welcoming speech was given to the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Giniyat, the rector of NJSC “Astana Medical University” K. Nadyrov, as well as the President of the International Society of Dermatologists (ISD) N. Konnikov. The main topics for discussion were the main indicators of the work of the dermatovenerological service of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2022, new methods for diagnosing and treating chronic inflammatory skin diseases, the clinic and pathomorphology of benign skin neoplasms, surgical treatment of vitiligo and much more. Acting professors of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Dermatovenereology and Immunology, Associate Professor, Candidate of Medical Sciences Akhmetova A.K., who acted as the chairman of the section “Vitiligo”, as well as the assistant of the department, PhD Kusainova A.A. with a report on the topic: “Neurotrophic and neurohumoral aspects in the pathogenesis of vitiligo.” At the end of the Congress, all participants were given certificates and memorable prizes.[/vc_column_text]
