An event within the framework of career guidance work

In modern society, much attention is paid to issues of sexual health and contraception among young people. In this regard, on September 28, 2023, students of Semey Medical University NJSC – KazMSA speakers, members of the SCORA committee (Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights including HIV and AIDS), held a thematic event on the topic: “Sex Education. Contraceptive methods, their differences and effectiveness” at the KSU “Secondary school #16 named after Toleubay Amanov.” Students of Semey Medical University told pupils about various methods of contraception, their effectiveness and advantages. The problems and consequences of early sexual intercourse, such as unwanted pregnancy during adolescence and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), were addressed.

In addition, pupils learned about the impact of contraception on the health of women and men. The speakers emphasized that choosing the right contraceptive method can help avoid unwanted health consequences. KazMSA speakers explained the causes of STIs and ways to protect against them. At the end of the event, a discussion took place in which participants asked questions to the speakers and received comprehensive answers to them.[/vc_column_text]
