On September 28, 2023, the assistant of the Department of Therapy of the non-profit joint-stock company Semey Medical University, Altyngul Ermekovna Ryskenova, organized an event inviting students of grades 10-11 of secondary school No. 19 for the purpose of career guidance. Schoolchildren were shown a video telling about the history of the creation and development of the medical university, about all the available educational programs of NJSC “MUS”, the video also demonstrated practical skills performed by students and graduates of our university at various clinical sites. Students of school 19 were given a brochure describing the faculties, courses in chemistry and biology organized by NJSC “MUS” for admission. Many schoolchildren were very enthusiastic about entering this higher educational institution and asked many questions regarding admission. Graduates were introduced to the advantages of the non-profit joint-stock company Semey Medical University. Thus, career guidance work with schoolchildren prepares them for an informed choice of profession in accordance with personal inclinations, interests, abilities, and contributes to the rational distribution of society’s labor resources. This makes it possible to implement one of the main objectives of the development of the system of higher professional education, the formation and development of human resources, the competent distribution of labor resources and the achievement of a dynamic balance.[/vc_column_text]
