On September 28-29, in Almaty, the WHO country office jointly with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, with the financial support of USAID Central Asia, USAID – US Agency for International Development, held a round table on the integration of educational materials “One Health” into the training program of specialists of medical educational institutions.
The purpose of the event is to form a clear understanding of the concept of “One Health” among students and graduates of medical educational institutions. The participants of the round table were representatives of medical universities of the country. Candidate of Medical Sciences, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work Zhanargul Kayyrgalievna Smailova and Candidate of Medical Sciences, ass. professor, Head of the Department of Public Health Zaituna Abdulkasimovna Khismetova took part in this round table. The participants listened to reports on such thematic areas as the health of the population, animals, the environment, ecosystems, ensuring food safety, combating zoonotic diseases and antimicrobial resistance.
During the round table, representatives of universities discussed the possibility of introducing educational materials on Unified Health into the educational process.[/vc_column_text]
