On October 10, 2023, a master class was held for GPs, pediatricians, and paramedical workers in Semey. On October 11, 2023, residents of the 2nd year of study in the specialty – Family Medicine and GP interns of 6-7 years, pediatric interns undergoing training at the Department of General Medical Practice of  NCJSC “SMU” were invited to the master class. The event highlighted the problems of immunization and provided recommendations to increase vaccination coverage against pneumococcal infection. Since prevention issues are an important part of the work of the Department of General Medical Practice in Semey. After all, preventing a disease is easier than treating it. Positive feedback was received from master class participants. I especially liked the interactive method of conducting master classes. When discussing the problems of vaccination against pneumococcal infection, cases from the practice of doctors, discussions, and quizzes were used.
