Seminar on the topic: “Etiology, epidemiology, clinic, treatment and prevention of ARVI and influenza in children”

September 27, 2023 in the Regional Center of Phthisiopulmonology and Infectious Diseases held a seminar for medical professionals on the topic: “Influenza and other acute respiratory infections in children”. The seminar was organized under the leadership of the Head of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the NSJSC SMU, the main non-staff child infectionist of the region Abay Efendiyev I.M. The seminar was held in a mixed format (online and offline). The seminar was attended by doctors of children’s and adult infectious diseases departments, intensive care physician, laboratory physician, epidemiologist, assistants of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases of the SMU, senior nurses, as well as students of 4 courses GM 4408 and 4420 groups, first-year residents of infectious diseases, interns of 623 GP.

The opening speech was delivered by Speaker Efendiyev Imdat Musaevich, who focused the attention of the participants on the urgency of the problem, clinical and epidemiological features of ARVI and influenza in children. About the current epidemiological situation on SARS and flu in the region of Abay and Semey reported by the epidemiologist the center Orynkanova O.M, which also acquainted the trainees with legal acts on diagnosis and treatment of SARS and influenza. The report «Etiological structure, epidemiology, classification and clinic, diagnostics, treatment and prevention of influenza and SARS in children» was delivered by the assistant of the Department of Children’s Infectious Diseases Dalelkanova T.D. The laboratory assistant S.A. Bektasova acquainted with the rules of the extraction of material for virological research in SARS and influenza.

The seminar was concluded by Efendiyev I. M., answering the questions of the participants. The organizers received feedback from the participants. A total of 51 participants attended the seminar.[/vc_column_text]
