On 14.10.2023, a sports relay competition among university teachers and staff dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the educational institution, organized by the Department of Physical Training, was held at the NAO “Semey Medical University”. The event began with the Anthem of our country – the Republic of Kazakhstan. After the welcoming speech of the Vice-Rector for the clinic and Postgraduate Education of the NAO “MUS” Duman Berikuly, the competition began.

In total, 12 teams participated in this event, six people in each team. Teachers of the Department of Molecular Biology and Medical Genetics named after Academician of the NAS RK T.K.Raisov, Galymbekov D.Zh., Yelkenova B.Z., and Esentaeva A.M. also participated in the tournament as part of the fourth team called “Favorite”.  Our team included teachers of the Department of Microbiology named after Professor M.M.Urazalin and the Department of Neurology, Ophthalmology and Otorhinolaryngology.

The competition consisted of two stages. The first stage is a relay race, the second stage is a tug of war. The participants competed in speed, agility and accuracy. Following the results of the competition, the winners and prize-winners were awarded with medals and cups, as well as the actively participating teams were awarded with special diplomas.[/vc_column_text]
