Participation in an online seminar for primary care and hospital specialists on the topic: “Influenza and ARVI in pregnant women: clinical and diagnostic approaches, treatment tactics”

In 2023, on October 18, at 18.00. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan organized an online seminar for primary care and hospital specialists on the topic: “Influenza and ARVI in pregnant women: clinical and diagnostic approaches, treatment tactics.” Employees of the Department of Infectious Diseases, Immunology and Dermatovenereology of SMU, NCJCS took an active part in the work of this seminar. The participants of this seminar were medical workers from the Kyzyl-Orda region, Shymkent, Turkestan and Pavlodar regions. The speaker was Bakhyt Nurgalievna Kosherova – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Chief Infectious Diseasesist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The speaker highlighted such important aspects as the relevance of influenza, the forecast and WHO recommendations for the 2023-2024 ARVI and influenza epidemic season. The lecturer focused on modern data on the pathogenesis of influenza, features of the clinical picture of influenza, complications of influenza, features of the course of a new coronavirus infection in 2023, influenza/ARVI in pregnant women. Separately, the features of the course of influenza and ARI in pregnant women (according to meta-analyses), indications for hospitalization of pregnant women with influenza and ARI, the algorithm for providing care to pregnant women with influenza/ARVI, COVID-19, SARI at the primary care and hospital level were discussed.
